Candidates lists everyone who applied, across all your jobs. The To review tab shows scored candidates waiting for a decision, best score first. Each job page shows its own candidates.
Statuses
- Analysing CV: they just applied.
- Not started: the interview is ready, they haven't begun.
- Interviewing: started, not finished.
- Scoring: finished, the assessment is being written.
- Scored: ready for you.
The score and recommendation
The score (0–100) is the rubric-weighted average of the criterion scores. The recommendation is Strong yes, Yes, Maybe or No. Both are suggestions to help you decide where to look first.
Undersold CV means the interview showed more than the CV claims. These are often worth a second look.
The evidence
Open a candidate to see:
- A summary, strengths, concerns and “golden nuggets”: what the CV didn't show.
- A scorecard: each criterion's score, confidence, reasoning and the quotes that earned it.
- Interview conditions, such as long pauses or leaving the tab. Context, not a verdict.
- The full transcript and the CV.
- Suggested follow-up questions for your own interview.
If a score looks wrong, check the quotes against the transcript. You know the role; trust your reading.
Deciding
Press Shortlist or Reject. You can undo it. Verso never rejects anyone on its own. The candidate's status page shows that a decision was made and that you'll contact them, so email them yourself with the outcome.
To compare people side by side, tick two or more scored candidates on the job page and press Compare selected.
